We finally got some new information in the form of Famitsu screenshots:

- New story segment will take place after the end of Story Mode
- Toon Link, Tetra and Daphnes (King of Red Lions) confirmed playable
- Windfall Island, Dragon Roost Island and Forsaken Fortress confirmed to be new areas
- Helmaroc King confirmed to be a new boss, Miniblins and Big Blins will act as the mooks and officers respectively.
- Golden Ocarina and Owl Statue confirmed as new items. Not 100% sure on the legitimacy of this, but I've heard people saying these 2 items will allow you to set warp points on the map and teleport to them.
