Hi everyone! Today's video is a special edition review; an unboxing and flip-through review of the limited Curious King edition of Hyperion by Dan Simmons! This is the first book in The Hyperion Cantos. This edition is my fifth letterpress special edition, and as of now, this is the best special edition I own in my entire collection of books. Ever since owning a Curious King edition of The Blade Itself, I knew about the top-notch quality of Curious King production. And still, Curious King managed to exceed my expectations with every publication.
The cover art, endpaper, 8 fully-colored and 20ish interior illustrations are all illustrated by Jaime Jones, a super versatile and masterful artist who is one of my favorite artists in the fantasy and sci-fi genre. As always, I'll let the video and his artworks speak for themselves. This limited edition is sold out now, and I have permission from the publisher to spotlight all the interior illustrations!
Anyway, let me know your thoughts on this limited edition. It is most likely the most beautiful and stunning book I own right now. It actually exceeded The Blade Itself and The Fifth Season. Everything about it is a publication masterpiece. Thank you so much to the Curious King for sending me this absolutely amazing limited letterpress edition!
