The video shows how 5G and satellite communications in a V2X use case. A detection unit, consisting of LiDAR and camera, detects a pedestrian, and sends this information to a V2X broker. A connected motorcycle sends information on position and trajectory to the same broker. The broker forwards the data to a vehicle, which is equipped with a multi-radio router, which has both satellite (Starlink) and 5G communications. A Starlink antenna is mounted on the vehicle. In the demonstration, the router switches every minute between satellite and 5G. The latency between broker and vehicle is measured with Qosium software, and the video shows the latency of Starlink communication (about 60 ms) switching to 5G communication.
