Finishing the Interior of a She Shed Workshop! This Bathroom Makeover Brought Me Closer to My Best Friend - #138 Thrift Diving 2024-01-24 | In this episode, I dive into an exciting new challenge: renovating a friend's bathroom. Im Doing the 75 Hard MENTAL TOUGHNESS Challenge! - #135 Thrift Diving 2023-12-29 | I tend to DIY everything in my life, even my health and workouts in order to lose weight and get mentally stronger. I told you in a recent episode that I am doing the 75 Hard Challenge, which is a mental toughness challenge that requires you to do the following things every single day for 75 days, and if you miss ANY of these daily, then you must start over at Day 1: • Read 10 pages in a non-fiction self-improvement book • Two workouts each day, 45 minutes each, one of which must be outdoors. • Follow a diet, any diet. But no cheat meals, and NO alcohol! • Drink 1 gallon of water daily. • Take daily progress pictures of your body.I'm on Day 54 as of the publishing of this episode! It's not always been easy. I’m free!” I whisper and clap,When out in the garage there arose such a clatter,I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.Down the stairs I flew like a flash,I had to make sure nothing was wrong with my stash!The garage was stacked with furniture I stowHow many pieces, I don’t even know.When what to my wondering eyes did appear,But a mid-century mod chair that I bought last year!With a vintage old fabric so awesome and chic,How dare someone say I’m a hoarder and freak?!More pieces than I need, all ready to be reclaim,And sometimes I buy several versions of the same,Blues! Reds! And greens! Chalk paint I’m a’ mixin’!Stripping! And sanding! My House Was Treated for Termites! - Thrift Diving Thrift Diving 2023-10-14 | A couple of years ago, I discovered that my house had termites! I would see them flying around the yard, but was afraid to take the step to actually have a professional inspection done. I had discovered that my rental property had termite damage so it made sense to inspect both of my properties. And there it was: signs of termites. Come behind the scenes to find out my home was treated for termites! I'm also happy to report that there has NOT been any evidence since the home was treated of termites chewing any of the wooden stakes that are monitored every year around my home's foundation. Whew! Watch This Circular Saw CUT Through Thick STEEL! - Thrift Diving Thrift Diving 2023-10-04 | A few years ago I had the opportunity to demo some amazing products, one of which was a circular saw blade called the Steel Demon by Diablo. The reps demonstrated what a corded circular saw with a regular blade could do (which it could barely cut through the steel, leaving it scorching hot!). But with the right steel-cutting blade (and even with a cordless circular saw), the saw was able to slice through the steel like butter!
