The Story
You've just inherited the estate of your distant relative, Dr. Hague Shoal, who disappeared nearly a century ago.
His home has been abandoned for decades, and the real-estate company refuses to send any more appraisers. They insist that you go and clear out the property yourself.
What's the big deal?
What happened to the appraisers?
And what's that scraping sound coming from the walls?
HUSK is a short, atmospheric horror game taking you through the story of Dr. Shoal, as you uncover his past, and the horror that awaits in his decrepit home.

About the Project
Our goal with HUSK was to create an unsettling, creepy experience, that's accessible for people who can't handle jump-scares.
This project was originally started as a Halloween Game Jam project for our small community discord server, "McSingles". After the jam, we continued to develop it further, resulting in what you see today!

Review:
Damn, that is a pretty good game! Not a whole lot to add, that would improve much upon the game itself. The story was short and precise, but I would definitely not mind this game and it story being explored further in the future! Now some might say that the drawings added to the game is a cheap way of making cutscenes, which I can understand, but I think it adds to the charm of the game! The game mechanics are not new, but well executed none the less. Overall the game is well rounded, scary and intense, with challenge, but not too hard. Something I would have liked, is a nice and intense chase sequence, where a more loud and fast "clicking" sound from the monster appears behind. Perhaps you face a long hallway, and your flashlight suddenly runs out of batteries, followed by a eerie and deafening screech from the beast behind you, forcing you to sprint through a set of hallways or something of the sort!
I really think the feedback system you have added is amazing, and I have made my submission to it, but I do however prefer to add my reviews here on itch.io
All in all, this game was a fun experience and quite the scare, great work!
