Hurricanes are a way of life on the U.S. Gulf Coast and East coast. Museum ships in the coastal areas have to be prepared in the event of an approaching storm. Tim NesSmith of the USS KIDD Veterans Museum and Matt McCluney of Battleship Memorial Park (Home to USS ALABAMA) join James from All American Travels to discuss how hurricanes affect museum ships.
USS KIDD is currently away from Baton Rouge in drydock for hull work. There's still a need for funding to finish restoration of equipment not being restored by the shipyard, and to keep the lights on back home at the museum.
