Milton has strengthened rapidly into a major hurricane on a path toward Florida.
The storm remains a Category 4, but strengthened a little from the last observation. The sustained winds have jumped from 145 mph to 150 mph (Category 5 is 157+ mph winds). The pressure is holding steady at 929 mb. Now tracking slightly slower to the ENE at 9 mph.
