FLORIDA is bracing for "the worst storm in a century" with the 165mph winds from Hurricane Milton already battering Mexico.
The treacherous hurricane is set to double in size before it begins to terrorize Florida in hours with over a million people already being forced to evacuate their homes.
The storm was upgraded back to a Category 5 hurricane on Tuesday, hours after being downgraded to a Category 4 earlier in the day.
Thousands of Brits are believed to be still trapped in Florida and attempting to escape the dangerous conditions.
US President Joe Biden warned residents on the west coast about the life endangering weather set to hit the region.
He said: "This could be the worst storm to hit Florida in over a century, and God willing, it won't be, but that's what it's looking like right now."
