A team of world-renowned archaeologists have unearthed the largest and most complex Huron Indian village ever found. A promising archaeological survey of some farm fields near Toronto, Canada, leads to what Dr. Ron Williamson, one of Canada’s foremost First Nation experts, describes as “an Indiana Jones moment”, after excavation of the site first turns up hundreds, then thousands of native artifacts. When the site is radiocarbon-dated to around 1500-1530 A.D., a stunned team of archaeologists realize they have found something unheard of in the history of the Huron.
