Shame we lost radio comms around lap 10 and I had no spotter, we could've made it all the way to 57. It was a mistake on my end, but for someone entirely new to real racing, I don't think I did too bad for the mario kart equivalent of an oval race.
Really wanted to bring it home for the half-way and let time bring it home, but got a nice love tap from the 24 car and while trying to save it hopped the tire barrier in the middle of the track, slammed back down hard (damn near bottomed the entire car out) and de-beaded both left side tires, killing a serpentine belt and blowing off the trans cooler and radiator lines effectively cutting our race short, however, the car did start back up with a jump, so hopefully Tim can race it next weekend for Knight of Champions!
