Most EXTREME day of my ENTIRE life: 24 hours living with one of the oldest tribes in Africa. To top it off, we caught 2 wild boars on Thanksgiving morning that fed the entire tribe.
The Hadza Tribe or Hadzabe are a remote African Tribe of Hunter-Gatherers in Tanzania. They live off a diet of plants and animals, eating only what they catch. They have very few possessions and they live where they can find food. There are only about 500 of them left living traditionally.
We were fortunate to have very credible safari guides and local connections to the tribe, therefore we were welcomed into their way of life. We visited their homes, played with their children, made bows and arrows, had target practice, slept in the Bush as neighbors and had one of the largest hunts for the tribe catching two wild boars.
Disclaimer: With special permissions from the government, local leadership and the Hadzabe people, we embarked on a hunt to feed the tribe. The following video contains some graphic imagery.
