The primary objective today was tracking down African wild dogs, but the route forced us to slow down. Scimitar-horned sable and a leopard tortoise are enjoying the wet season. Persistence pays - and an amazing sighting of the hounds - completely calm before the inevitable chaos of the late afternoon hunt.
A huge thank you to the teams at Mawimbi Bush Camp, Kafue National Park, and African Parks for making this trip possible and protecting this wild corner of Zambia.
