Thirty dynasties. Three thousand years. And one question: can we find even one ancient Egyptian king from the true dynastic period who was European or Levantine?
In this video, we go through some of the most important dynasties in ancient Egyptian history, from Narmer and the First Dynasty, to the pyramid builders of the Fourth Dynasty, to the powerful rulers of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Dynasties.
Using statues, reliefs, mummies, dental studies, cranial analysis, body-proportion studies, and genetic data, we examine what the evidence actually says about the people who created and ruled the Nubio-Kemetic civilization.
This is part one of a deeper investigation into ancient Egypt, its African foundations, and the attempts to reinterpret, erase, or disconnect it from Black history.
