Most hawksbill turtles are found in the Caribbean, but occasionally the critically endangered species lays its eggs on Sentosa. When that happens, Sentosa’s conservation team takes care to protect them until it’s time for them to hatch and head into the ocean.
Watch the newest hatchlings waddle into the sea in this video, and follow Sentosa’s social media channels for announcements on more sightings.
*Visitors who spot a turtle nest on Sentosa should contact SDC at 1800-736-8672. They should also keep a distance from the turtles and avoid shining lights on them as this will confuse and scare them.
