These chicks are as big as their mommy now. The tiny nest cannot fit both chicks. One of them is sitting outside the nest. Mommy bird does not attend the nest as frequently. When we walk by the nest, the chicks freeze and with their camouflage they are hard to spot unless you know where to look. I moved my hand in the shot in order to give a scale to show how big they have become.
