NASA's Artemis II lifted off from Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. ET — carrying four astronauts on a 10-day journey around the Moon and back. Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen are now en route.
The mission also makes history in another way: Glover is the first person of color, Koch the first woman, and Hansen the first non-American to travel beyond low Earth orbit.
