Just over a quarter of the way into the 21st century, the world is in an era of profound global transition.

Geopolitical instability, rapid technological advances and the climate crisis are compounded by cultural fragmentation, the erosion of trust in public institutions, and economic volatility.

The most pressing challenges facing the planet and the most complex dimensions of global change are inherently human.

Over the next few months, we'll be exploring how Oxford researchers and educators are deepening our understanding of the past, analysing the complexities of the present, and shaping what our future will look like.
