And so this is it. The Humanimals are about to meet the real author of tarzan, But this was before he made his novel of tarzan.
A writer named Ed is in desperate need of some inspiration for his next novel. He finds it while walking down the street in the form of a newspaper article about Tarzan, "The Missing Link". Ed has the inspiration he needs and begins tracking tarzan. Ed then tracks down Philander in a run-down apartment building/flophouse, and Philander goes on to tell of his adventures in Africa, meeting Tarzan, exploring Pellucidar, being embarrassed by the photos of the baby baboon, Anyway, Ed finds Philander's story of Pellucidar a bit too unbelievable so he leaves.
