Alongside +/- Human, which saw our space transformed by flying orbs and first class choreography, we delivered a large-scale community project blending circus and dance, to create a new performance in response to the installation. The project engaged 25 young people aged 11-25, from the Roundhouse Street Circus Collective and offsite Parkour and Free-running Projects, along with young people training at the National Centre for Circus Arts. Two dancers from Studio Wayne McGregor and two circus tutors, worked closely with the young performers and guided them through the process.

The young circus performers performed twice, once on Friday 11 August at our community partner’s venue and again on Saturday 12 August, as part of the main installation dance performance.
