CORRECTION @ 5:29: Thomas Paine was a deist

Human beings have dignity and responsibilities, but the language of 'human rights' has been continually used to centralize ever more power into the hands of the state and international bodies. This has the effect of eroding civil society and parallel institutions of power while embarking on explicit social engineering. The language of human rights is insidious and requires smart push back.
