Tony Lee Glenn | Hugh Taylor Glenn - About Accidentally Shooting His Foot With A 12-Gauge Shotgun - Coping With ALS @tonyleeglenn | Uploaded January 2024 | Updated October 2024, 41 minutes ago.
So glad I found this video of my dad telling the story of how he almost lost his foot in a hunting accident back in the mid 1950's. My mom Mary Carolyn Mitchell Glenn also appears and adds to the story. A local surgeon (Jack Horner, MD) took heroic measures to save my dad's foot, and eventually he did recover, although he had to miss a full year of high school. Dad eventually served in the Army even though he had been rejected by other armed services because of his injuries. This is a fascinating story - and shares a bit about my parent's history. Dad died from ALS one day before his 77th birthday. Hope you get a blessing from hearing the story of a humble, but colorful and inspiring man who greatly influenced the lives of my brothers and me - as well as many others.
