It might be just February, but the first signs of summer are here! HÜGGER is set to warm up your playlist with their new deep house song ‘Sunshine’. It’s the kind of song that embodies the feeling of being at the beach with a fresh coconut in your hands, ready to live life to the fullest. It’s a tropical comeback from the Danish duo to OH2 Records, after releasing ‘Rocket Brothers’ with BOILERS on Oliver Heldens’ imprint back in 2024. So sit back, and start your pre-summer with this saxophone-driven melody!
HÜGGER: “I wanted to write a song that was both nostalgic and happy, so ended up with a song about sunshine with a saxophone riff that sounds like it's sampled from a George Michael song. What better outcome!? ‘Sunshine’ was written in contrast to everything that’s going on in the world right now. We’re constantly being bombarded with bad news or horrible actions, so I wanted to write a song about something good, something easy and something that could just give me a break. For me, ‘Sunshine’ feels like a small vacation, I hope others will feel that way too.”

Once again, the two Norwegian producers blend disco house with hip-hop, refining a sound they’ve been shaping together. Their newest track ‘Q10’, featuring vocals from Moonshine, really hits that sweet spot between funky melodies and fresh, feel-good rap. It feels like a natural successor to their earlier collaborations, ‘Shut It Down’ and ‘Kill The Club’: tracks that laid the foundation for this genre-blending direction.
Tollef: “After Shut It Down and Kill The Club, we couldn’t help ourselves from making yet another disco house/rap tune. Q10 will make even the introverts tap their feet. I hope you enjoy it!”
CLMD: “Working on ‘Q10’ with Tollef felt very natural from the start. We both wanted to make something that had real movement in it.. not just programmed energy, but groove you can actually feel in your body.”
