For the first time since 1990, Electronic Arts (EA) is a private company. On Tuesday, what was expected became official as the $55 billion sale of EA was completed.

As of August 4, one of the largest game developers in the world is under the control of a group that includes the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners.
