We have a monthly budget and use a system similar to cash envelopes to budget for everything we buy. We recently moved farther away from Costco and I had a heart to consolidate multiple trips over the month into one trip, which meant this one was a big one! We also just moved and it so happened that it was that time where we were out of a lot of big household things like laundry soap and dish soap, which made it a much bigger shopping trip than normal. Do you shop in bulk? What kinds of things do you buy in bulk?

Books I've read recently:
Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney - amzn.to/2AgjuvK
Desperate by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson - amzn.to/2AdM7tq
For The Love of Discipline by Sara Wallace - amzn.to/2uT3Wce
The Christian Homemaker's Handbook - amzn.to/2LFJxRl

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:31‬ ‭ESV‬‬

My YouTube Channel is sharing how I strive towards the Proverbs 31 Woman. I am a simple woman who is purposing my life towards glorifying God in all that I do. This is my take on homemaking to the glory of God. I have been married for over a decade and I have five young children. I will be sharing how I organize our home and life in general.

I am very passionate about eating healthy food and after discovering food allergies in our family, the majority of our food is cooked from scratch. I will be sharing how I meal plan, grocery shop, and cook.

Lastly, but most importantly: I am a child of God. I fall short constantly. I hope to use this channel to share the love of Christ. Although I know without doubt that my best attempt at living Godly is as filthy rags, the Bible tells us that sharing the Gospel never returns void! I want to use my YouTube channel to shine the light of Christ into the world and show that even doing the dishes can be done to the glory of God. I am inherently flawed and broken, but in Christ, I am made new. Sanctification is a lifelong process.

These are the ins and outs of The Life of a Homemaker.
