At its “Fashion Next” global launch event in Dubai, Huawei showcased its latest Pura 80 Series smartphone range with some substantial changes to the camera tech. The range is led by the Pura 80 Ultra, which features a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR camera with an industry-first Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera.
A result of this new camera tech means that the large sensor is now combined with a dual telephoto lens inside the phone to deliver unprecedented versatility in capturing stunningly clear shots at any distance.
The new Switchable Dual Telephoto camera also comes equipped with Huawei’s XMAGE pixel-level colour calibration, which delivers exceptional clarity with remarkably accurate colour reproduction.
The Huawei Pura 80 Series spans multiple devices. There’s the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Ultra. The handset is set to launch in South Africa on 7 August. I will share the official pricing and pre-order details when they are available. Here are the specifications for each model.
