The Redemption of Sony Animation

Cartoonshi シ 2023-06-10 | Sony Pictures Animation very quickly went from being the laughing stock of the industry to being one of the most innovative and consistent mainstream animation studios in just 5 years. While they've made a lot of bad films, I think it's important to highlight what wasn't working with their previous films and franchises and why their new direction is so refreshing to see.

Across The Spider-Verse is a Perfect Sequel

Cartoonshi シ 2023-06-03 | Into the Spider-Verse very quickly became one of my favorite movies of all time when it released in 2018. Despite this, I was very cautious going into the sequel believing that they couldn't rekindle the magic of the first film. However, Across the Spider-Verse puts all of my fears to rest while delivering one of the most exciting cinematic experiences I've had in years. Here's why I think it's a perfect sequel.

The Clone High Reboot is an Absolute Mess

Cartoonshi シ 2023-05-27 | Clone High is a series I've held in high regard for years now, and hearing news about the revival had me incredibly excited. While I've heard the show gets better from outside sources, the reboot fails on a multitude of levels that the original series excelled in and seems to lack the comedic spark that made it so memorable.
