Most of the firing is at 8:40 btw.
TL:DR, the trigger mechanism closes the breech, then fires the HPA core. The trigger/breech bit doesn't work well, but the HPA bits and the breech and barrel work excellently. So I'll reuse those bits and make this a manual bolt action operated HPA setup. Or use a pneumatic cylinder for semi-auto.
And that's okay! First prototypes are meant for figuring out stuff like this. Sometimes, stuff doesn't work out, but things can still be learned from the design process. And aspects of a design can be reused elsewhere :)
