Here's a video showing how WW glitches work. I choose to show the roof spawning zone, but it works in every main spawning zone.
All the zones spawn 15 ganados in normal time (3 waves of enemies), except the shadow zone that spawns only 10 (2 waves of enemies). Let's notice we could kill always the same single ganado up to 15 times in a zone if we spawn and kill only this ganado.
The glitch allows to get an extra wave of 5 enemies, but we have to sacrifice 1 of the 15 previously. So we spawn 15 + 5 - 1 = 19 ganados when the glitch works.
In the shadow zone, we spawn 10 + 5 - 1 = 14 ganados when the glitch works.
What is this sacrifice about ? It's very simple. Just watch the vid on the left and read the live comments to see what happens.
In the current routes, and during chests, it happens we kill 10 or 11 ganados before we run in another zone, but it doesn't matter since the kills above 9 don't respawn. Just be sure 14 ganados in all have spawned before you enter a new zone. :)
