Learning that your loved one has experienced an overdose can leave parents feeling helpless and seeking answers. The trip to the ER after their son’s overdose was not easy for Joanne and David. They wish someone had explained to them what to expect in the days, weeks and months after a loved one experiences an overdose. Without guidance, their trip to the hospital quickly turned into a second. "I needed help as much as my son needed help." The only way Joanne and David could help their son recover was by educating themselves.
