A lot of what we do is super 1-of-1. This project might need its own category. We turned an old koi pond--that had been filled with everything from cinder blocks to skin-slashing cat O'nine tales--into a raised garden bed for pollinators. And, I won't lie, this one stretched us everywhere. From trucks and tools and tractor to design, demo and a project that looks like it was always there. This projects tapped our demo skills and equipment. It required design that depended heavily on Mark's marine construction days. It required us to manage water and drainage. It required exporting massive amounts of razor sharp plant material co-mingled with an alarming number of cinder blocks. It required importing massive amounts of gravel and soil. In the end, turning an old koi pond / water garden into a pollinator raised garden was a hoot. We hope you enjoy it--and are baffled by it--as much as we did.
