Steam Charts are often referenced as a measure of COD's popularity compared to other games, but the percentage of players actually using steam has been elusive. The reality is the Steam Charts can give us not only the Average Concurrent Players playing Call of Duty, but also a good idea as to the number of average daily and even average monthly users logging into the launcher.
In this video I break down how we can use the Total Hours Played metric to calculate a total daily player count, and then compare that to the numbers Activision CEO Bobby Kotick gave during the Activision - Microsoft Trial.
