I was thinking about how love changes.
Like, on your wedding day, you can't imagine loving a person more. But then years later you look back at how naive you were. Not that the love wasn't real, but it was just new, and it's not the same kind of love that comes from remolding homes on a shoestring budget, nursing sick children at 2 am together, the grief of losing a parent, or dealing with careers lost and found. A love that grows and deepens from spending hours upon hours of moving through moments of grief, joy, boredom, frustration, and wonder together.
That's a bit how I feel about Let's Make Art. It started out as a hope, based on a bit of naivety - all bright lights and heart eyes. But after years of problems, solutions, rounds of layoffs, extreme growth, selling, buying, owining - it all deepens and softens into something more.
After more than a year of owning all of Let's Make Art I honestly spend most of my days crossing off tasks that are right in front of me. But sometimes, when I peek my head above the trees, I exhale and know that I feel whole. Recently, someone commented here on YouTube "Sarah, I always thought of you as a happy person but these days, I thnk you're more than happy. I would say serenem contented, and fulfilled."
I agree. I love that you can see it. It sounds cliche, but dreams really do come true. ❤️
