Previews are out in the wild and just about everyone is surprised and impressed by Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. And we don’t have long to wait, as Space Marine 2 launches on September 9th, 2024.
The host of different modes accommodating single-player and co-op offers good variety, and the game runs at a consistent framerate considering the amount of Tyranid hordes on screen.
Speaking of hordes, the Horde Engine speaks for itself when you see the game in motion. There’s just so much attention to detail in each of the environments, and it all pays the utmost respect to the genre. The combat is more involved than Space Marine 1, featuring a parry system, dodging, and execution finishers. Space Marine 2 looks to be mixing up difficult action combat with its traditional hack-n-slash pacing to make a more diversified experience.
Even though the preview build of game runs phenomenally well, online matchmaking has been hit or miss. If Saber Interactive fixes online woes at launch, expect Space Marine 2 to be one of the biggest games of the year.
