🌊 What if children could experience a flood before it ever happens?
In Nepal, an innovative project is using virtual reality (VR) to help students prepare for disasters in a safe, immersive way.
Led by Binod Prasad Parajuli and the CRR Lab, this initiative recreates a digital twin of a school using ground and drone-based mapping. Inside the VR environment, students learn how to:

🎒 Decide what to take in an emergency
🐄 Protect animals and essential supplies
🏃 Act quickly when a flood alert is triggered
💡 In the virtual world, mistakes become lessons. In the real world, they can mean loss.
Supported by the FCDO-funded Resilience, Adaptation and Inclusion in Nepal (RAIN) Project, this approach shows how technology can make disaster preparedness more engaging and more effective.
