The FV4005 was a Cold War monster designed to carry the biggest gun ever fitted to a tank. But for decades, it was left rusting in pieces and largely forgotten.
In this full documentary, follow two best friends, Joe and Jack, as they take on the impossible: a 6-month deadline to rebuild this 50-ton machine from the ground up for the world's biggest armor show. From resurrecting a dead V12 engine to wrestling a massive 15-ton turret into place, this is the epic story of how the world's most unique tank was brought back to life.

The museum relies on the community to keep history moving. Having successfully completed the restoration of the FV4005, @MrHewes and @thetankmuseum are partnering again! This time, the challenge is to restore another Cold War monster to running condition: the world's only running Conqueror.
@thetankmuseum is turning to its supporters to help raise £50,000 needed to fund the work. The project's goal is to restore Britain’s last heavy tank is expected to be complete in time for TANKFEST 2028!
