Sometimes the yarn for your knitting or crochet project comes in a hank instead of a ball or skein. It is much easier to work from a center-pull ball instead of a hank. A center-pull ball won't roll away from you as a ball wound from the inside-out would. In this video, Grace walks you through the steps of winding a ball of yarn using the butterfly technique so you can work with the end from the middle of the ball. This is a great technique to know how to do if you don't have a ball winder and yarn swift.
