Today I want to show you my tricks to make sheer clothing work. Just know that this is rather relative…What I’d wear to a date night is different than what I’d wear to a job interview. And sometimes it’s just about comfort level (how warm I want to be and how I will feel). If this is out of your comfort zone, respect that. xx

How to wear a black bodysuit under a thin white skirt? It’s shapewear. Same concept of having a slip, but in a modern way.

How to wear a sheer/lace shirt? Whether it’s some sort of lace or mesh, anything purposefully see-through, there are a few ways to wear it. The key (to any outfit) is to look in the mirror and ask “does it look intentional?” With the example in my video, the patterns of the bra and shirt look the same and has a different look than when I’ve tried just a black bra underneath. Sometimes a nude bra can work, but if the thinking there is that it’s skin-toned then pasties can work and give surprisingly more coverage. Example: instagram.com/p/BrBMTdTFvO5/. Or for a job interview, meeting the parents, etc, wear the shirt over a cami or under a slip dress.

How to wear a loose knit sweater (the kind with the holes all through it)? I’m wearing a nude bodysuit (coverage for days), warm, sexier than a cami. If I want to play up the French vibes like Sezane does, then I show skin on forearms and chest. Going monochrome and adding a small bag helps to balance proportions with oversized pieces like this.
