Using archival World War Two news reel, footage, I discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using nuclear weapons in Hearts of Iron IV. In the game, nuclear weapons are for strategic bombing and not for wiping out massed armies. They serve the same function as strategic bombers but can often be more effective. They do require a significant investment in building nuclear reactors, but do not require factory space or resources once the reactors are built which can often be more cost effective in the long run.
