If you're not too sure how to use Mortar at all, or if you need tips on how to land direct hits better, follow along with my Mortar guide to get a better idea about how the long-range shot works for both PS5 and Xbox controllers. Mortar is one of your ships most important shots, because it allows you to damage ships and fortresses without needing to get too close. As a result, you can attack without needing to get hit too much yourself, so hopefully my guide on how to use Mortar helps you rule the high seas like a boss.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the remake of the brilliant swashbuckling adventure into the pirate life. You play Edward Keyway, a privateer-come pirate, who gets mixed up in the wrangle between the Assassins and the Templars. Things start out pretty much all about Edward searching for his big shot at riches, but in the end he must decide where his heart lies. You'll have the open ocean and the mighty Jackdaw ship to sail it with, along with some solid, unique battle mechanics for both dry land and naval combat.
