Marathon Writing Gets You High!
Published Author Sandy Lender shares how to prepare for marathon writing and how to use marathon writing for a variety of personal writing goals. With a list of writing marathons to check out, a guide for preparing for any creative marathon, and a discussion of the tips and tricks for preparing for and using a short marathon versus a longer marathon, Sandy shares the information typically offered in her in-person workshops including a peek at her writing enclave.
STATEMENT: I want to make it clear that this video was recorded and uploaded prior to the #nanowrimo statement showing the organization's stance supporting the use of AI instead of your creative brain. I had reason to believe the organization had "cleaned house" and resolved some issues with alleged racism and predatory behaviors in its moderator and other structures from recent years, thus I was willing to at least discuss the positives of the month-long writing community concept. Now I'm just done with the thing. Done. There are other ways to grow your writing circle and positive writing habits without the soft bigotry of low expectations being used as an excuse to atrophy your brain so NaNoWriMo can get money from a sponsor...in my opinion.
