FireWalk | How To Use Instrument And Audio Tracks in FL Studio 20 @FireWalkMusic | Uploaded May 2019 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
This FL Studio beginner tutorial will show you how to use instrument tracks and audio tracks in FL Studio. By doing this you can now link the channel rack, mixer and playlist together in such a way that if you change the name of color in the mixer for example, it will change everywhere. This simulates a more linear workflow and can save you a lot of time organizing projects.
Using audio and or instrument tracks in FL Studio is the preferred workflow, because it speeds things up quite a bit. If you drag a VST to a playlist header, it will automatically become an instrument track. At the same time, a mixer track will also be created for it, and the VST will show up in the channel rack as well. Now, if you change the name or the color in either the playlist, mixer or channel rack, it will also change everywhere else. This means that you won't constantly have to rename and change color in three places every time. It works the same way with audio tracks.
