Light sources that cast dynamic shadows affect the performance a lot. Cached Shadows are a great feature to reduce load and improve performance by using baked shadow maps for surfaces of stationary geometry and immovable light sources. Depending on your needs, you can choose to render baked shadows only, or combine rendering of both baked and dynamic ones. The World Light source works in a similar way, but it uses shadow cascades.
In this tutorial, we will give you a couple of quick tips on how to use cached shadows in UNIGINE 2.
