We get a lot of questions about the use and purpose of some of our products - the one most frequently asked about is how to use axle straps?
We offer three types: the Floating D-Ring, the Ratchet Axle Strap, and the Dual D-Ring End-Fittings. Each provides their own advantage and have their own unique ways to use them!
Here are some easy first steps:
1. Bring your axle strap around the vehicle's axle and secure it with a hook end-fitting. Make sure the protective sleeve, made of black fabric, is snug around the axle. It keeps your strap safe from tearing and abrasion!
2. Ratchet the strap to make it nice and tight before you finish securing the strap to your trailer or ramp.
3. For the floating D-Ring, adjust it up or down the strap to make it snug around the axle!
4. When using the ratchet axle strap, bring the other end of the strap through the ratchet and begin tightening the extra webbing until the strap is tight and tied down.
