Today I'm sharing a project that's a little out of my ordinary--it's a MODERN DIY KITCHEN ISLAND MAKEOVER.

Now, normally, I'm building from scratch--which is my preferred method haha. But in this case, I really didn't want to take a chance on having to replace a huge and heavy (and expensive) 4x8 piece of granite, so I kept the main structure of this kitchen island intact so we didn't have to move or remove the countertop. And I just worked to transform the look and function of what was underneath it.
