*** Things To Remember ***
Sometimes after completing a PC matic scan and clean, One of your programs might not work correctly, or you notice the computer is acting strangely.
To troubleshoot this issue, we can undo or reverse the changes made by a PC Matic scan by opening PC Matic, clicking "options," then clicking "restore settings."
Each time a scan is completed, a log is kept. To reverse the changes, we simply select the date of the scan and then click "restore."
If the restoration has been completed and you're still experiencing the same symptoms as before the restore, then the issue that you are experiencing was not caused by PC Matic.
If this is the case, there is something else that we can try. Windows has a built-in feature called system restore. Using this feature does not affect your data on the hard drive in any way; just the system files and settings.
We access this feature by pressing the windows key + s or right-clicking the windows start button and clicking "search."
In the search box, type "rstrui.exe"(without the quotes), then click on the icon that appears. This will bring up the system restore window.
If you see a message stating system restore is not enabled then system restore will not resolve the problem. However, we can enable system restore in case we need it in the future.
