You can temporarily or permanently disable the cursor on an LG TV Magic Remote, recenter it, and customize its behavior through the remote or TV settings.
Temporarily Turn Off the Pointer
Press any arrow button (up, down, left, or right) on the Magic Remote to temporarily disable the on-screen pointer while continuing to navigate using the directional buttons
On some models, holding the Menu button for a few seconds also deactivates the pointer
Once the pointer is off, you can navigate using the highlighted selection box without the cursor appearing on the screen. The pointer will reactivate if you shake the remote or use the scroll wheel
Turn On or Reactivate the Pointer
Use the scroll wheel in the center of the Magic Remote: spin it forward and backward like a computer mouse to bring the pointer back
On some models, simply shaking or moving the remote will make the cursor reappear due to the built-in gyroscope
If the pointer is missing, ensure the remote is paired correctly with the TV: press the center OK (wheel) button to register the remote if necessary
