You can enable the “Display over Other Apps” feature, also called “Draw over other apps” or “Appear on top,” by adjusting settings in Special App Access or Developer Options, allowing certain apps to overlay content on top of others.
Step 1 — Open Special App Access
Open the Settings app on your Android device.
Navigate to Apps, Apps & Notifications, or Application Manager (depending on your device).
Scroll down and tap Special App Access. On some Android versions, you may need to tap Advanced first to find this menu.
Step 2 — Locate the Overlay Permission
In Special App Access, select Display Over Other Apps, Appear on Top, or Draw Over Other Apps. The naming depends on your device manufacturer
You will see a list of apps that have requested this permission.
Step 3 — Enable for Specific Apps
Find the app you want to allow to overlay other apps.
Toggle the switch ON for “Allow display over other apps” (or the equivalent)
The app now has permission to create floating windows or overlays.
