The blender in the video is an old, discontinued Osterizer blender. I have since switched to a Black and Decker Fusion Blade blender that this trick also works on. CAN YOU USE A MASON JAR WITH ALL BLENDERS?
I am unable to guarantee that this hack will work with all blenders but it has worked with several of my friends' blenders. The blender this works the absolute best with is the Black and Decker Fusion Blade blender. The most economical option is their small "personal blender" and swap out the plastic blender jar with a glass mason jar with no problems (referral link): amzn.to/2GZEAjN I like this option because you do not need to mess with the sealing gasket separately - you just screw the blade mechanism onto your mason jar and go!
CAN YOU BLEND HOT THINGS IN MASON JARS
NO! You absolutely should not use this hack to blend hot things. The increased pressure from using this hack to blend hot things could cause your jar to explode and you to become injured.
