My wife has just published her 5th children's picture book, about a magical creature, Spellapillar, who helps children to understand how to write the letters of the alphabet correctly using a directional colour system. As a newbie to Blender, I said I could animate the character to make educational videos to support the book, but it turned out to be a lot more complicated than anticipated... Looking on YouTube for an easy way to turn a cartoon character into a meshed 3D object for some simple animation experiments, I found Monster Mash today (https://monstermash.zone/).
It's superb: incredibly fast, and easy to use, and it's completely free, with no software download needed. This great tutorial tells you everything you need to know, including how to further manipulate the objects in Blender:

My video is not a tutorial, just a quick showcasing of my very modest results. I'm just happy at this stage to have a result at all. There will be more, and better, to follow, I promise.
And here's her book on UK Amazon, but available worldwide if you search for Rosalba Petrie "Spellapillar's Magic Alphabet."
