Quick Share allows you to wirelessly send photos and other files from one Android phone to another nearby device quickly and securely, using Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth.
Step 1 — Prepare Both Devices
Ensure both phones are powered on and unlocked
Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on both phones. Quick Share uses Bluetooth to detect nearby devices and Wi-Fi Direct to transfer files
On the receiving phone, open Quick Share from Quick Settings, the Share menu, or by searching in the Settings app. Set your visibility to either Everyone for 10 minutes or Contacts, depending on who you want to allow transfers from
Step 2 — Select Photos to Share
On the sending phone, open the Gallery app and select the photos you wish to transfer
Tap the Share icon (often three connected dots or a triangle icon) and choose Quick Share as the method
Step 3 — Choose the Receiving Device
Your phone will scan for nearby Android devices with Quick Share enabled
Tap the name or icon of the receiving device from the list of available devices
If the receiving device does not appear, check that it is in Receive mode and within close proximity (typically within a few feet)
Step 4 — Accept and Start Transfer
On the receiving phone, a prompt will appear to accept or decline the incoming files. Tap Accept to start the transfer
The transfer may require entering a confirmation code if prompted, depending on the device models and OS versions
Step 5 — Locate Transferred Photos
After the transfer is complete, photos are stored in the Gallery app or in the Files app under Downloads Quick Share on your Android device
